    No opinion of CEO

I worked at IBM full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

At the time I worked there, management was very open about communicating what was going on with the company, providing access to worldwide job listings, etc. I think I was happiest when the IT people came, gave us all laptops, and told us to go work from home.

    Cons

As with all other mega-corporations, it can sometimes be hard to make personal contact with others, especially if you're working from home, or working remotely.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Lots of good people working for the company
Lots of flexibility to work from home and to change jobs.
    Good benefits.

    Cons

    Many employees were overworked.
Many U.S. employees were being laidoff and their jobs given to IBM India employees, also to Brazil and Argentina.
In the past few years I was considered the lucky one if I received a 2% raise. Some depts were given pay cuts.
The PBC appraisal rating system needs to be scrapped. I hated receiving a large list of PBC objectives from management that were outside of my control.

    Advice to Management

A global workforce is needed in the growing global economy, however, you need to find a way to keep the U.S. employees instead of getting rid of us.
