I have been working at IBM as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Smart people, across the IT Service Delivery organization, including all geographies whether domestic or emerging markets. The non-executive leadership is strong, and wants to be committed to their employees.

    Cons

Executive management is struggling due to the continued miss in quarterly earnings yty, as such, IT Service Delivery is continuing to be a point of reduction in resources, to save monies, to artificially impact the profits for Wall Street versus organic growth.

    Advice to Management

Believe in your people again, take a vested interest in their success, and you will be surprised, that these smart wonderful people can do more for IBM, than a few executives that are life long IBMers, and seemingly would be committed to the greater good, however, they are lost in their own world, drinking their own KoolAid

    Pros

Looks good on resume, pay is good, very large clients,

    Cons

You are a serial number, no management/guidance/development, you will be replaced by someone cheaper.

    Advice to Management

Eventually you're going to have to go back to the old clients, and they won't forget how the've been treated.
