I have been working at IBM full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working in IBM is a dream come true for me since I started my Mainframe Career on 2006. IBM is a place full of technical resources including its people. Also IBM is an awesome workplace since some accounts especially the "Internal Accounts" having the option for WFH (Work-From-Home). Benefits-wise I was able to received good benefits including healthcare for the whole family.

    Cons

It would be then the scarcity for Mainframe projects. There are very good people whose skillset is under Mainframe are now moving out because of it.

    Advice to Management

Hoping that the management to look into this matter and train sales people so they put in more Mainframe projects into IBM.

    Doesn't Recommend

I have been working at IBM as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Ability to get involved in technology
    Working from home allows flexibility

    Cons

Would not be happy if I were customer, knowing how thin resources are spread
Too process driven, sometimes overrides pragmatism
    Pay rises unheard of.

    Advice to Management

Work on strategy, as it all seems to point to cost reduction, rather than quality
