    Cons

I have been working at IBM full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great technology, projects and clients. Family-like atmosphere. Exceptional flexibility to work from different locations/home. Excellent programs to award top-talent employees. Plenty of areas to grow/change. Watson as the next big thing in the tech world.

    Cons

Just too big sometimes! Too many processes & meetings with +10 IBMers are not efficient.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees, as they will take care of your customers.

I have been working at IBM full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

First job, good employee. Not bad salary for an entry level job. Responsibilities and international environment

    Cons

Sometimes you can feel a bit lost in such a big company, but usually they are there to help you. When I got here there were not many young people.

    Advice to Management

Arrange more corporative activities so the workers can get more involved.. One of the main problems with IBM is, in my opinion, publicity. IBM has none... maybe advertise the brand from time to time so people know what we do.

I have been working at IBM full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Sound professional culture, company of experts willing to share and help out
At the forefront of exciting developments in IT and business
You are responsible for your outcomes, and the company trusts you to get there
There are real opportunities to grow professionally and get diverse experiences if you want

    Cons

Although teleworking is a reality and there are a number of good work-life balance initiatives in place, it is sometimes hard to handle professional - personal ambitions (probably true in most corporations "hello pink elephant in the room!")

    Advice to Management

Continue to focus on the people, the talent, the teams. IBMers are the best brand ambassadors and need to be proud advocates if we are to represent the company out there.

    Pros

Capabilities, global company with great professionals willing to share experiences and share skills and knowledge. Investment in innovation areas, training and marketing.
    Very strong process

    Cons

Processes can turn into bureaucracy, reporting can be too exhaustive depending on global and or local situation of the company as well as stocks evolution.

    Advice to Management

Focus on communication with employees, give clear messages and ensure they reach the company population, make teams understand the necessary tools to add value to clients.

I worked at IBM (More than a year)

    Pros

IBM is a very flexible, allowing individuals to work from home. I found it to be a very inclusive company as well, and equal opportunities were given to everyone.

    Cons

The downside of working here is that, like in most companies in today´s day and age, there is little room to move up. Contracts were strict and management was already in place.

    Advice to Management

Innovate new methods and strategies that enable younger workers to grow and rise up within the company.
