I have been working at IBM full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    1) Many resources at your fingertips
    2) lateral moves appear to be very easily achieved.
    3) decent vacation and sick leave
    4) great paternity/maternity leave policy.

    Cons

1 ) Very little if any guidance on how to navigate big blue.
    2) IBM is pretty inflexible about how things work within the acquired organization.
    3) Either adapt to IBM's or move on. They will not change based on your feedback.

    Advice to Management

Keep your tragectory, but try to get more going inside strategic initiatives. Value your senior employees. People are not cogs,

I have been working at IBM full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits. Good Personnel on team. Can work remote. Pay is decent for the area. Can make extra money doing extra work here. (can be a pain to get paid for this though)

    Cons

No HR on site or that are relevant to talk with. Training non existent. L2's rarely assist. Have to provide own hardware in office and at home. Was literally given a ball mouse on my first day. Took 3 months to get the headset on my phone to work properly, would have been longer had I not ordered the piece I needed to get it going.

    Advice to Management

Give quarterly reviews. I had asked for this and it happened one time. I have been here 9 months now and still have only gotten the one review. Really impossible to tell what you are good at and what you are struggling with unless you have a way of establishing this communication.

I have been working at IBM full-time

    Pros

IBM benefits are good. They have some games and ping pong

    Cons

Everything else. Coworkers all don't care, very few people actually have good customer service skills, customers complain about the product being garbage, management is complete garbage and not helpful at all, management also is shady that if there's a possible severe issue they have you lie to customers and stall on getting the issue fixed, level 2 just leaves customers hanging on the line while they go home, expectations are way to high and they know it just won't do anything about it, terrible hours, few people care about getting to the resolution in a timely manner, engineering/programmers are evil and don't do their job properly, unprofessionalism in the workplace is not a priority for management, and widespread intimidation and bullying is in full swing at merge.

    Advice to Management

I think the best thing would be for Mass layoffs of managers and possibly just closing the company. Customers constantly complain about how terrible support is and how they get no help or answers. Cross team communication is garbage.

Don't work for this company. Don't let the IBM name draw you in, you'll regret it 100% unless you're currently unemployed but keep looking.

Pepe have quit this place with nothing lined up after they leave. That's how bad this place is.

Also favoritism is big here along with directors of departments being unprofessional and actually bullying other employees

I would definitely stay away from working for the Radsuite/EA/VNA and PACs teams. They're complete garbage including management. A few good workers on those teams everyone else is not and who don't care about customers.

I have been working at IBM (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good pay and benefits; working with other talented peers; good work-life balance typically. Lots of flexibility to set your own schedule and appointments.

    Cons

Frequent re-organizations are disruptive, particularly in sales which is relationship-based. Too many products in each sales portfolio. Not enough cultural emphasis on prospecting, especially if business development needs to be a priority for overall growth.

    Advice to Management

Take feedback regarding territories from the reps who are interacting with the accounts on a regular basis. Too many weak accounts on Enterprise lists.
