I worked at IBM as an intern

    Pros

Flexible hours, interesting projects, brilliant people

    Cons

There are fabulous people working there who are intelligent and expert in their work. Having said that, it happens that you have to work in a team that your coworkers are not flexible and even not up-to-date with the last technologies and the methods in the field. Persuading those people to use the new technology is very hard and even impossible if it comes from an intern!
If you wanna join to any team as a full time researcher, make sure that your coworkers are willing to COLLABORATE on the project and not pushing you to use older methods and tools just because they are more comfortable with it!

    Advice to Management

Make sure that your employees and your managers have the latest knowledge of their fields and encourage them to attend more conferences, workshops, lectures, etc.

I worked at IBM as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Extremely reputable sales program. The company is really working to change overall culture making it more "millennial". All the intern hires were very intelligent, driven, and intelligent individuals. The company invests a lot in you as an intern. Travel is included/paid for. There are lots of opportunities to gain real experience and expand network. Upper management is very willing to get to know the interns.

    Cons

Always "innovating", product names change constantly since marketing and sales departments seem disconnected

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work by trusting and including your interns. The more exposure to everything, the better experience we receive.

    Cons

I have been working at IBM as an intern

    Pros

One of the best experiences I could have going into my senior year of college. Driven and intelligent group of interns hired that I worked with, management is easy to reach (especially in this office) and willing to help or network with you, and your opinions as a new employee are valued/highly considered.

    Cons

Some managers were not on site while other interns' managers were. Must be good at communicating on a constant basis.

I have been working at IBM as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

Big company, lot's of locations, lot's of interns to work with.
Made something the company will use (at least my project will be used).
There are lot's of different types of interns (business, HR, developers).
There are fun events like hackathons and intern social days.

    Cons

Disorganized at the start, your intern project and summer experience is dependent on what manager you get.
Lot's of non-development time (for my project)

    Advice to Management

There are a lot of general webinars, maybe split them into different tracks (developer vs non-developer).
