I have been working at IBM as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    1. The company has a nice vision and people are always willing to help and guide you without necessarily benefiting from it.
    2. Lots of different areas of studies and areas of applications in the great number of projects carried out.

    Cons

    1. Some advancements on projects can take longer than expected as there is an inertia due to the size of the company. Some moves can sometimes look like politics.
    2. You have to be proactive to decide your own paths and projects otherwise people will impose them to you or forget you on the bench.

    Advice to Management

For people like me in graduate internship, it would be nice to have insights on the global architecture of the company and what kind of projects and competence can be found in each part to better choose which one fit best our profile in the case of a full-time job offer.

I don't have much to say about the negative aspects BUT I will mention that the HR team is disconnected from the operational team - they aren't as communicative and the initial paperwork is a bit of a hassle.
