Former Employee - Senior Client Relationship Manager in Mumbai (India)

    Pros

Used to attract highly talented people
Well-defined roles within a matrix organization
Breadth and depth of products and services on offer to clients

    Cons

Too process-oriented, resulting in less flexibility and speed of response
Talented people started leaving the organization

    Advice to Management

Excessive focus on 'Road-map 2015' of doubling EPS (earnings per share) in 5 years just after EPS had doubled over the previous 5 years meant that just about everything was expendable within the organization, including talented people who kept clients and employees happy.
The working environment at IBM prior to 'Road-map 2015' was very good.
