    Positive Outlook

I have been working at IBM full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Excellent Learning opportunities, both on the job, and online/classroom. So far, good opportunity to move across verticals, that is, to different lines of business. Movement both horizontal, & vertical possible.

    Cons

Salary increment for Internal IBMers are not very attractive, each year. Even though, there would be times, when salary correction would be made to normalize it to Market stardards, the frequency is far too less.

    Advice to Management

Please focus on employee retention, by giving good salary hike to Internal High Performing IBMers. While it does happen, but not consistent. Manager's hand is heavy. I think, higher management need to spend some more time, recognizing top performers, to retain them.
