    Pros

You're exposed to a lot of other IBMers who do different things, so you're constantly learning and evolving and discovering more and more about yourself and your interests. You get a lot of support; everyone here are 110% down to talk to you if you need help or if you just want to learn more about what they do.

    Cons

Sometimes the people you work with don't get back to you as quick as you'd like them to.

I have been working at IBM full-time

    Pros

Great place to work. Access to several diverse state-of-the-art technologies in leading domains. Unlimited learning opportunities. Diverse culture and opportunities to go global on work assignments.

    Cons

Career growth is slow to come. Despite acquiring the required skills, getting promotions can be frustrating process. Salary growth is often low. Benefits though generally good and competitive can be elusive when it comes to annual bonuses.

    Advice to Management

Company should cut down on the bureaucracies and can benefit from taking a more genuine approach in objectively assessing and rewarding employees.

I have been working at IBM full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Ibm's sheer size allows one to migrate easily to achieve growth goals without quitting . Because ibm is on a competitive growth curve to be the most relevant cognitive company- opportunities to learn machine learning, Watson, data science , IOT and more are endless

    Cons

Can be a bit of a challenge managing the enterprise red tape . Antiquated internal systems of record make the day to day tasks such as project management, time management, sales pipeline even Core HR experience is hell. Sometimes you just gotta buy software from a competitor folks! We can't be experts at everything!

I have been working at IBM full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I was part of the IBM CSC Morocco 10 team and worked with Association Marocaine d’Aide et de Soutien aux personnes Trisomiques (AMSAT), a not-for-profit organization, supporting 327 people with Down syndrome, from birth to adulthood and actively supports their families. The IBM AMSAT subteam provided an integrated set of recommendations including open source IT offerings to streamline workflow and increase productivity. We reviewed the organizational management structure and proposed a new management system, balancing workloads and redefining job roles. After evaluating the internal and external communication plans, recommendations were made to increase employee engagement and heighten awareness within the local community. By incorporating the proposed fundraising plan, AMSAT will be able to strengthen their financial autonomy and improve access to Down Syndrome services. The subteam reviewed the facility utilization and a proposed a building reconstruction expansion project, which would increase spatial capacity allowing for additional services.

    Cons

The time period in country is too short and follow up trips/visits are not part of the program.

    Advice to Management

Support employees interested in applying for the CSC. Before deploying help the employee identify and determine the most critical roles and skills to enable IBM to deliver client success. This journey is about engagement from multiple perspectives, people, process, workplace, technology and tools and culture.
