    Pros

If you look around the organization, you can find some truly amazing people doing truly amazing stuff. Often times, it's very hard to find those people, but they do exist and they do amazing things.

    Cons

Massive organization. It seems it's the nature of large organizations to be relatively bureaucratic, inefficient, to have red tape, but that's all a part of the ride isn't it?

    Advice to Management

I don't even know if it is possible to streamline the organization at this point, but perhaps that is what needs to be done. Managing IBM is a very challenging job given its size and complexity.

IBM has great respect for their employees and takes good care of them. The work is very interesting, challenging, and involves a wide range of clients. The work is never boring.

    Cons

Schedules are very demanding, generally requiring quite a bit of overtime. Lots of pressure to complete projects on short schedules.

I have been working at IBM full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

My manager helped with the overwhelming issue of every large company by introducing me to the stakeholders. Love my team and the wonderful options to move within the company. A lot of options to continue education and work with others on projects.

    Cons

Decisions are made at a level that do not know the impact it will have. Some managers will hold good people back so they can keep good employees with them. Layoffs are many and sometimes they are not based off of performance, more political.

    Advice to Management

Be willing to give mentors to all of your employees so that they can make the best assessments after they truly look into the mirror.
