I worked at IBM (Less than a year)

    Pros

Worked as an intern in IBM Dubai, really good work, everyone is very helpful. Overall, a great experience. Would go back :)

    Cons

Kept getting moved around in different project over the internship, so didn't get to do something in particular in depth

    Advice to Management

The management should keep the interns on a single project throughout, so they get to complete a project. Otherwise everything was good.

I worked at IBM (Less than a year)

    Pros

Generally good culture and environment. A lot of people work from home and management tends to be lenient and understanding

    Cons

Legally their internships are scholarships (big tax loophole) so you are not entitled to superannuation, workers comp, etc. Also, the internship does not guarantee a graduate job, you'll have to apply for that yourself and will find that most graduate jobs are technical.

    Pros

    Brand name on Resume
Interesting projects (if alloted) to work on
    Good pay

    Cons

It is a very big company so as an intern you mostly feel lost because they don't have proper mentors assigned for every intern.

I worked at IBM as an intern

    Pros

IBM is a big player in the technology industry. If you have a desire to enter that career field, definitely consider IBM. It has been a constant player, as well as around for over 100 years. They are working hard to stay relevant and continue to change and update as technology is.

    Cons

Personally, my internship at the Austin office for a content marketing role was horrible. I had huge expectations going into the experience and constantly was let down. There were 5 interns for a team that had no prior history of having interns. They didn't have enough tasks for all of us, and wasted our time. There was a lack of organization and the whole experience was complete chaos. I was extremely disappointed with the experience, and can say this was my worst internship I have ever had.

    Advice to Management

Get organized. My first line manager changed 3 times within my 3 month internship. Although I began to make relationships with higher up employees, there was no consistency nor direction. Have a game plan before internships come onboard and make sure they have tasks for the entire duration of their internship.
