I worked at IBM as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fast paced work environment. Truly cutting edge research. Access to some of the best minds and facilities. Pretty good pay for an intern.

    Cons

Bureaucracy, jumping through hoops, less communication increased the delivery time for some products; they are however attempting to increase the "agile" nature of the office.

    Advice to Management

Demonstrate on an inter-abstraction level how one's project can fit in to the motives and road map of the company as a whole. With such a large company, it can be hard to see where exactly your work is going.

I worked at IBM as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Get to work with really smart minds. All teams are comprised of 3 tech interns and 1 business intern mentored by two senior employees.

    Cons

Not many in terms of work. Just that there are no coffee machines. Also as the campus is too huge they have separate cafeterias and no in house pantries.

    Advice to Management

Perception that full time work will not be as great as internship is very strong. Work on getting rid of that.

    Pros

Learning and Professional Development for any individual who would like to place his/her career in the field of Information Technology.

    Cons

I didn't really face any issues during my internship. Getting adapted to an Agile environment was challenging and interesting, but it was not a Con at all

    Advice to Management

Management is doing a great job in transition. More opportunities and career paths could be made available for graduates

Very nice manager, team members there. You can meet many graduate students from other universities and learn how to work on industrial research.

    Pros

The company pays well and the environment is fairly relaxed. They are doing a good job of rebranding themselves.
