I have been working at IBM full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

IBM is a huge company, has a lot of different areas where employee is able to learn and develop new skills. There is an structured career plan and also assessment and learning programs.

    Cons

Has a lot of bureaucracy, therefore changes can be very slow, as well as decisions, approvals etc. The global matrix (all countries report to a global leader) sometimes impacts processes.

    Advice to Management

More autonomy to the local leaders would be nice. IBM has changed a lot, but we know there is a long way to go, yet.
