    Pros

IBM has some of the nicest work facilities of any tech company in Silicon Valley. Location of software development facilities is near the edge of town with plenty of residential housing so no need for a long commute to work.

    Cons

Pay and promotions are hard to come by after the first few years. Your once competitive entry-level compensation can quickly become non-competitive after just a few short years.

I worked at IBM full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

3 months training on Design Thinking is a great experience! You learned a lot about how to work with customers and teams to figure out the optimal buyer journey which is the greatest starting point of building a software solution. A lot of learning opportunities offered in the company.

    Cons

Be careful about the team you are joining. It varies a lot from team to team. Be careful about bureaucracy and old-management style of your manager. It might destroy your career there.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on cultivating entry-level talents. Be more patient about their growth. HR needs to take care more about employees instead of fully focusing on pleasing the managers.

I worked at IBM full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - As my first job, it taught me a lot of skills that I didn't get from studying at school.
    - There are a lot of trainings offered.
    - Company is stable and each and every process are also stable.
    - Salary is normal, benefits are above average
    - Teammates and overall workplace is very good.
    - Overall company culture is great.

    Cons

    - Entry level position is a little bit under paid.
    - Management was dissolving positions and transfering the tasks from that position to those that remained.
    - Overtime (they give allowance but you first need to have a minimum of 3 hours overtime) and Holiday work is not being paid.

    Advice to Management

    - Connect more with your Employees so that you would know what their needs are.
    - Give a more competitive package so that you guys would be able to retain the best talent.
    - Not everyone can be replaced.

I have been working at IBM full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Sometimes , you will get wfh

    Cons

More project politics , no hike , higher management don't allow you to grow , if you get client appreciation then they will remove from projects , lots of unnecessary works like you will spend 2/3 hour everyday for helping managers to format the mail , his/ her task , just name sake big company , there is no culture only politics . No learning , no good projects , nothing extra..

    Advice to Management

Remove all these unnecessary managers , atleast listen the employee ,if he/she raises any concern. Project leaders are removing the best performer of the project, please take all the power from project manager, please keep transparency , break thesis called community ecosystem in the IBM . it is very difficult to sustain in any projects without involving the bad ecosystem politics. Please care your technical experts.. Please start your garbage out policy else you will loose every project..how do you tolerate the pampering , politics , community ecosystem , unethical behaviour over sincere , hardwork and dedicated employee..
