I have been working at IBM full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Work from home is a very nice option. But I had that as before when we were sold to IBM this may not be an IBM thing. I was part of an acquisition from AT&T

    Cons

401K Matching only pays out annually which (if you dont make it that long) you can lose out on.

    Advice to Management

I worked at IBM for more than 10 years

      Pros

Good Initial Pay, Great people to work with, Work from home is wonderful, but they are ending that.

      Cons

Zero pay raises (over 12 years). Long Hours, forced overtime (with no pay). Zero interest in the employee. Many promises, all later removed or made impossible to collect on.

      Advice to Management

Sadly no one but top level management can change this and they don't want to. Lower level managers have no power to change anything, or make any decisions concerning employees.

I have been working at IBM full-time

      Pros

There is a tremendous amount of work to perform with multi-cultural teams. It requires being able to motivate and drive teams to project completion. This can be satisfying when done correctly.

      Cons

It is continual work and projects are never ending. Working with multi-cultural teams can be challenging with communication to ensure projects are performed correctly.

      Advice to Management

It is best to reward employees for work performed. Too often, there are long hours with little or no reward as raises are non-existent and bonuses have been cut to nothing.
