I always liked every manager I worked for. They ran their business but yet caring, respectful and were fair.

I have been working at IBM full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Exposure to new technology. Innovative products. great benefits

I worked at IBM full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Overall my experience was very positive, I learned a lot. I was part of the PWC Consulting acquisition and nonprofit sector. For the most part the people I worked with were smart, hard-working and dedicated, and my managers worked hard to enable me to succeed.

    Cons

Squeezed in the middle of reporting up to senior management and managing the nitty gritty of the project - and being called out for exceeding profit targets - ridiculous!

    Advice to Management

Bring back the shared revenue and signings allocation - splitting and assigning to only one practice area created ugly competition and did not foster teamwork at all!

    Pros

Good income potential. Broad portfolio of software solutions. Decent technical help. Known enterprise software vendor. Easy to get to higher levels of customer due to name.

    Cons

Old school versus new school. Too many people who have only been at IBM their entire career. They think that gives them some sort of special status. Many don't have external contacts needed to do business

    Advice to Management

    Look beyond years at IBM
