I worked at IBM (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Most of the teams I worked on, the people were wonderful. Almost like a family.

    Cons

Arrogance in the face of 22 consecutive quarters of declining revenue. No direction, feeling of helplessness. Benefits are not what they used to be. Raises are terrible to non-existent. Values have changed, employees are no longer valued

    Advice to Management

Instead of playing "catch-up" leverage your existing technology. Stop trying to not be a computer company and realize you have the ability to produce the total package and be the once dominant company IBM was, instead of the shadow of it's former self.

I have been working at IBM full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Being an IBMer.
    Flexible hours.
    Good benefits.

    Cons

Unfortunately, at the Kenexa office, we are always running and going nowhere. Goals are not clear or change all the time.
First level managers are all juniors, they think that they are awesome though. The truth is that they have no clue of how to motivate or lead a team.
Many people are leaving the company not only for the stress but for the inefficiency to get the work done. Many people are just waiting to get their Green Cards and then they will leave.
The former CEO (Rudy Karsan) has a great speech, he even wrote a book about motivation and how important is to have the employees engaged. Unfortunately those are only words when it comes to Kenexa.

    Advice to Management

Even basic management training will benefit the company and your teams.
