None to offer really. The company was great and I really enjoyed my time with them. Nothing but the highest regard.

    Pros

Every day at ICAP was very exciting. It is a work hard play hard type of environment. It is challenging but you have more than enough resources to accomplish and excel at your tasks.

    Cons

When the business was not good, it wasn't good for anyone. Also the fast paced environment translated to high stress at times. Definitely not for the weak-hearted.

I have been working at ICAP full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

After office hour client building, fast-paced environment, amazing people. Really a good sense of community within the desks they grow to be like your family.

    Cons

unfulfilling at times, when market is slow your day drags. The day to day job is not as exciting as it seems.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to be a bit more transparent about where they believe the company is moving and how to shape the company in a way that can battle market shocks.

I worked at ICAP full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very good work environment. People were friendly and hard work was very much rewarded. It is not heavy on meetings and bureaucracy, just get your work done. As a broker there is not a better place.

    Cons

Not many. It can be a loud environment. And if the markets are slow people can be crabby. Location in Jersey City is not ideal.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing.

    Cons

I have been working at ICAP full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I've worked for ICAP for 17 years in two different departments. As a broker, when the desk I was on was not doing well, ICAP helped me to move to another department that I have been able to re-invent myself in and start a new career.

    Cons

There has been a downsizing over the past two years but the market in general has downsized. It is inevitable and ICAP offers their employees tons of help with placement, sponsorship for various licenses, etc. This is not a con but more so a statement to those that will say they let so many go.

    Advice to Management

Not much, I have been treated great in all my years there. Even during a very trying health issue, ICAP was so supportive and took the stress away immediately.

I have been working at ICAP full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Very good work environment and keeps you busy all the time if you understand the business and have knowledge of working on multiple projects/products.
New assignments keep coming to your plate and you will learn a lot.
Salary is as per the industry standards plus other benefits including 401k.

    Cons

If you have been working here for very long, which implies that you have knowledge of the business and how to resolve any issues. Due to this you will be really busy.
Commute will be long for people living far from this place. Also there is no public transport to reach here.

    Advice to Management

People with appropriate experience, who have knowledge about ICAP business and have been working for ICAP for many long years should be promoted and given chance to advance their professional career growth.
