Products available to offer clients that every business needs with exceptional pricing.
Sep 23, 2012 - Sales in Indianapolis, INRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
ICC offers multiple product lines that sales reps can offer their clients. If you cannot get in the door with one product, you have 2 or 3 others to offer. There is unlimited income potential for sales reps as well. Office staff are very helpful for the most part and other than the standard requirements of logging sales calls and meeting quota, the schedule for a sales rep is very flexible.
Cons
There are numerous businesses in the area that sell the same products, which makes differentiation difficult to achieve. Not all members of management are on the same page all the time. As a small company there isn't much of a marketing budget or anything much done for advertising.

Worst Company I have ever worked for!
Dec 21, 2022 - Sales Associate in Indianapolis, INRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Honestly, not a single pro!
Cons
The owner is a micro manager and a crook. He hires salespeople to sell big deals and right before it closes, he fires them so he can pocket the commish. I saw this happen to two stellar reps in the last 6 months. He admittedly has cash flow problems due to his poor management of the business. Even the co-owner (his brother) ran away from this sinking ship!

Pros
It truly can be a fun and interesting job. There is such a vast array of products to sell you can become such a resource to your customers,
Cons
You must get everything in writing, ask questions and don't let them put you off. All management is family members and each one will tell you something different. You will be told not to worry about your commission reports because they are never wrong however they are never right. You have no way to daily track your own sales numbers and it seems to be an acceptable notion that a few hundred dollars will "fall through the cracks" off your commission report. fortunately for the company a few hundred dollars is just enough to drop you a percentage point or tow and then they do not have to pay you gas or mileage allowance. Between my self and the next tenured rep (he has been there 6 years) there have been over 27 sales people come and go. Unless you completely need the job to keep you off the streets I would say to keep looking. Very "1970's" sales office atmosphere. Most wasteful company. No recycling policies. The only thing missing is people smoking at their desks.

Pros
If homelessness is your only alternative, at least it is a teeny, tiny paycheck that will never get any bigger.
Cons
Management is aggressive, incompetent and take constant raises while their employees get “thank you” cards instead of raises for years on end. During my time there over 50 people were fired or quit, out of an average of 25, in 5 years! Management thinks they are lords and everyone else are their slaves, but honestly I’m surprised they can tie their own shoes. On top of everything they are willing to lie to anyone, clients or employees, to get ahead and it’s only a matter of time before that takes them down. This is a company in such bad shape, any day you could show up to locked doors. Also when I was presented with a great opportunity for an awesome new job, they tried to block it by refusing to confirm my emoloyment. This is a standard practice for them.

Overworked, underpaid. Chaotic
Apr 14, 2015 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Doesn't micromanage. Relaxed dress attire.
Cons
Accounting practices are shady. Management is too focused on their paychecks to be bothered with the employees.

You really can help your clients save money
Cons
Very saturated market to be selling in.

Revolving door leads to poor customer relations
Aug 12, 2012 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
They do have "an 82 year track record" and a good tech staff.
Cons
There frequent turnover of employees leads to credibility questions with prospects. Serious questions arise in regard to their ability to be competitive with their pricing. Their commission structure is designed in such a way that only the long established sales staff has any real opportunity to advance their incomes.
