I worked at ICON Health & Fitness part-time

    Pros

If you are on the sales team, the pay is great.

    Cons

Management cares so much about the bottom line that they are willing to alienate their employees by decreasing sales commission and describing them as "replaceable". This is of course not the case if you happen to be related to one of the big wigs in the company in which you case you can do nothing and be promoted to upper management position that you are entirely unqualified for.

    Advice to Management

Try and develop a company culture where your employees don't actively dislike the company they are working for. Also, a little training might be nice.

I have been working at ICON Health & Fitness full-time for more than a year

    Pros

They're very flexible in allowing you to work your own schedule. The supervisor for the testing department is very willing to work with you. He's also open to any ideas to improve the company if you desire.

    Cons

They don't have a large variety of projects to work on at the moment. If you get bored of the same thing after a few months, then you'll likely experience that here.

I have been working at ICON Health & Fitness full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

If you can take the occasional criticism, this is a great place to work. They are flexible to work with and have great benefits. Lots of fun traveling. Really great place to build your resume.

    Cons

Sometimes it's hard to know what your exact job description is. You may wear many hats. Once you get to a certain point in your career, there isn't a ton of room for growth.

    Advice to Management

Upper management is intimidating and hard to approach

I worked at ICON Health & Fitness full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Fast pace, high pressure environment helps you to gain experience probably more quickly than working most other places. Lots of great coworkers. Amazing onsite cafeteria.

    Cons

This company defines NEPOTISM and upper management breeds the most toxic work environment I’ve ever experienced in my professional career. I have never met anyone who has left the company and regretted their decision. Unless you are desperate, don’t become another victim. FACT - this company resembles a dying star, and at some point will self implode because of the decisions made by upper management.

    Advice to Management

Impossible to provide advice, it falls on deaf ears.
