    Pros

Casual Environment wear jeans, competitive base salary

    Cons

Performance to sales quota at times seems to be to hard to hit each month.

    Pros

Willing to take a chance on highly motivated people with lack of Sales experience.
Training program is great if you are new to 'phone sales'.
Great team environment and the overall work environment has improved over the last 8 months.
My Team Leader was a huge mentor in my life, and helped me become the best person I could be.
PTO is great if you put the time in.
Not 'cut throat' sales, have a bad month; learn and improve.
    Promotions are available.
    One big Family at IDW.
Great pay for what you need to do.
Executive Sales Leader helped increase pay and opportunities within.

    Cons

Sometimes, the quantity of calls are valued more than the Revenue brought in.
Some micro-managing, but they want you to learn. This will decrease with time.
90 days before you start accruing PTO.
Flexibility in Work start and end times is lacking with some managers.
Processes are a little dated, but I believe this is slowly improving through recent leadership additions.

    Advice to Management

Become a little more lenient on the AMs that produce. Keep them happy, as long as they are growing themselves and the company. This will halt the recent turnover. Keep up the positive work environment in general, it helps the morale.

I worked at ID Wholesaler full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I learned a lot about people, and how to ask open ended questions. They have free hot chocolate. The work space is pretty, and they have nice bathrooms.

    Cons

In the interview I was told that they take a consultative approach; but when I started found out they are looking for "used car salesmen". They are always telling you that you need to properly "manage the end users expectations"; but you get no info from the Miami office to manage said expectations. Are told to sell what is best for the end user, but then get scolded for not selling the spiffed items. Made less the longer I was there.

    Advice to Management

Had a new boss almost every 8 months. One of them micromanaged to the point to which dealing with her checked tasks took up hours in my day; just for her to tell me to do what I already had scheduled. One of the male sales team leads likes to walk around rubbing people shoulders. Has to whisper during lunch, so concerned about noise they stopped the microwave from peeping.

I have been working at ID Wholesaler full-time

    Pros

*Decent amount of PTO - can be taken in hour chunks.
*Dress down structure - casual (jeans)
*Account base is handed to you the day you start
*New building located closer to the cities
    *Medical & Dental

    Cons

*NO leeway on leaving 5 minutes early or working through a lunch to take off to pick up my kids, PTO had to be used.
*Promoted you wear company logo clothing; which you had to purchase out of pocket
*Every time someone new starts, you get accounts stripped and re-balanced
*Creative pay changes by upper management to keep sales salaries neutral or slightly decreased; while the company grows by more than 15% annually.
*Money was spent on a new building, which was not needed, rather than employee training or raises.
*Health benefits are lack luster; bottom of the barrel coverage.

*Arriving at 07:45 is considered late, and frowned upon. (Hours are 08:00 - 17:00)
*Leaving at 17:10 is considered leaving early, and frowned upon (Hours are 08:00 - 17:00)
*Strongly "encouraged" to work through your lunch.
*Promotions are awarded solely on flattery techniques to upper management and not sales ability.
*No HR department - "Just keep it to yourself" mentality .
    *Raises have never been given.
*Spiffs and additional money making programs have been taken away over time.
*Company has been a revolving door since 2008
*Employees must average 60+ calls per day or face repercussions, including termination.
    *Call center mentality.
*Very poor management on a day to day basis
    *Greedy
*Unwilling to accept and embrace newer more effective ways of selling via the web.

    Advice to Management

*Appreciate your employees...too many have left through your revolving doors.
*Embrace your workforce and listen to your employees.
*Employees are people; not just numbers or dollar signs

Good pay, low-stress environment, great management, casual dress, many learning opportunities, excellent team of co-workers, nice office, good location, room for growth. - Comprehensive benefit package (medical, dental, vision, 401k with company match, life, short term disability, long term disability, and Aflac options)
    - Generous PTO plan – especially great for those who are loyal to the company
    - Fast growing company with a bright future
    - Leader in the industry
    - Fast pace environment
    - No travel
    - Superb marketing team delivers high quality leads (no cold calling)
    - Management promotes from within
    - Great team of people
    - Beautiful, new, modern building
    - Central location in St. Louis Park close to Lake Calhoun and Uptown - near many restaurants and retail shops
    - Stable business, even in times when the economy has suffered

    Cons

I personally had great success at ID Wholesaler. I started on the sales team as an account manager and was promoted a couple of times over several years. Have a positive attitude, be smart, work hard and you will be rewarded. I don’t have any cons regarding my personal experience.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work, I have nothing but respect for your leadership and core values.

    Pros

This is a casual work enviroment, you can wear jeans everyday. They do have a paid training program.

    Cons

There is very little opportunity to increase your income via commissions. Breaks are frowned upon, skipping lunch is encouraged. Should you have an issue, there is no HR department. There is a lack of support for the product which makes this more of a customer service position that actual sales. You are expected to call on old leads/prospects that do not even use the product.

    Advice to Management

Follow through on your promise to support the product you sell.

    Pros

Stable company, supportive management staff. They value their customers and have been successful despite the weak economy. Sales training program provides solid background for all of the products. You don't have to take your job home with you so its a good family life/work life balance.

    Cons

If you like the layers of management you get in corporate America, a small company like this isn't the place for you!

    Advice to Management

Flexibility is appreciated and valued, sometimes more than compensation.
