I have been working at ID Wholesaler full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Something new to do every day. We are growing and with that comes lots of new ways to grow as a person and as a professional. They pay for training, a very supportive culture, we have free food (who doesn't like bribes) and the departments tend to get along pretty well, which is a change from other companies I have been in.

    Cons

Not so great at giving raises.

    Advice to Management

Reward your employees that perform so you are able to keep them

I have been working at ID Wholesaler full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Consultative sales, focused more on working relationships and less on pushy sales tactics
    -Relaxed and comfortable working environment
-Flexible with time off when it is needed
-Continual opportunity to expand accounts/commission based on performance

    Cons

-Accounts are shifted to different reps from time to time, making it difficult to cultivate long term relationships with some customers
-Additional challenge of working with a customer service/order entry/tech department that is in a different location

    Advice to Management

Continue to take feedback from current employees on internal processes and managing accounts so we can continue to see more and more success with longer tenure. The management at IDW are all fair individuals who have our best interest as employees in mind. Thank you.

I worked at ID Wholesaler part-time

    Pros

IdWholesaler has an excellent staff from their top management to their every day employees.

Great teamwork environment, fun, and a lot of support from management.

You are given a lot of different projects.

    Cons

A lot of cold calling for an intern. Was given a list of 1300 hospitals to call, but this taught me how to handle different people.

I have been working at ID Wholesaler full-time

    Pros

    Great atmosphere.
    Leads/Accounts provided HUGE +
Pay is very competitive - Some AMs will reach $100K+ this year.
Company is growing and more opportunities open each year.
Medical, 401K match, & 20+ PTO days per year.
    Ranked #466 in Internet Retailer's 2015 Top 500 Guide.

    Cons

More flexibility to work from home would be nice.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and continue to provide AMs with the tools they need to succeed!

    Pros

Willing to take a chance on highly motivated people with lack of Sales experience.
Training program is great if you are new to 'phone sales'.
Great team environment and the overall work environment has improved over the last 8 months.
My Team Leader was a huge mentor in my life, and helped me become the best person I could be.
PTO is great if you put the time in.
Not 'cut throat' sales, have a bad month; learn and improve.
    Promotions are available.
    One big Family at IDW.
Great pay for what you need to do.
Executive Sales Leader helped increase pay and opportunities within.

    Cons

Sometimes, the quantity of calls are valued more than the Revenue brought in.
Some micro-managing, but they want you to learn. This will decrease with time.
90 days before you start accruing PTO.
Flexibility in Work start and end times is lacking with some managers.
Processes are a little dated, but I believe this is slowly improving through recent leadership additions.

    Advice to Management

Become a little more lenient on the AMs that produce. Keep them happy, as long as they are growing themselves and the company. This will halt the recent turnover. Keep up the positive work environment in general, it helps the morale.

I worked at ID Wholesaler full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I learned a lot about people, and how to ask open ended questions. They have free hot chocolate. The work space is pretty, and they have nice bathrooms.

    Cons

In the interview I was told that they take a consultative approach; but when I started found out they are looking for "used car salesmen". They are always telling you that you need to properly "manage the end users expectations"; but you get no info from the Miami office to manage said expectations. Are told to sell what is best for the end user, but then get scolded for not selling the spiffed items. Made less the longer I was there.

    Advice to Management

Had a new boss almost every 8 months. One of them micromanaged to the point to which dealing with her checked tasks took up hours in my day; just for her to tell me to do what I already had scheduled. One of the male sales team leads likes to walk around rubbing people shoulders. Has to whisper during lunch, so concerned about noise they stopped the microwave from peeping.

I have been working at ID Wholesaler full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are many great perks of working here including:
    -Fun,, intelligent colleagues
    -Casual work culture
    -Great resources/support
    -Low-stress environment
    -Business casual attire
    -Good salary
    -Inspiring leaders
    -Best-in-class industry

    Cons

The only thing that I've encountered are the strict work hours i.e. you don't have the option for flex hours and the PTO is not ideal.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!
