I have been working at IDBI Bank full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    additional holidays
exposure to all depatrments/levels of management
diverse duties in a small bank
    somewhat informal environment

    Cons

    understaffed departments
    low compensation/bonus structure
low workplace morale-throughout the institution starting with operations and ending in 3 commercial lending divisions
    micro-managed by top
lack of training / promotion within
motivated talented lenders leave, leaving behind mediocre staff

    Advice to Management

Allow your staff to develop. Encouragement and training goes a long was and it does not cost anything. Compensate your staff in line with the market and you will get results. Promoting mediocre seniors only adds to cost of operations. Talented staff is leaving. What's left behind is un-motivated masses collecting their under-valued paychecks. .

    Pros

Good pay, good working environment. One of the best place to work for freshers. Good growth opportunities if someone works hard. No strict dress code. Working hours are good for corporate office

    Cons

They should have separate operations and marketing teams for retail banking departments. It be comes very hectic and tough for operations department to do both operations as well as selling. Should have good working hours for branch banking too

    Advice to Management

Please have separate operations and marketing staff. Reduce work days to 5 days a week and also if having 6 days a week reduce the after customer hours working time for branch banking staff

    Cons

No work culture, Poor leadership, No interdepartmental support ,

    Advice to Management
