    I worked at IDEO.org full-time

    Pros

I worked with some talented, and dedicated professionals to try and tackle really hard, systemic challenges affecting the poor and vulnerable. Connection to IDEO.com

    Cons

The organization doesn't have a compelling vision or plan for the future, and isn't creating anything actually impactful, or of any real substance. Leadership is poor, and there has been like 80% turnover in the past year or two.

    I have been working at IDEO.org full-time

    Pros

World class design teams, passionate and mission driven, fun loving culture, working in some of the hardest problems around the globe.

    Cons

High travel, little down time, at times chaotic energy.

I worked at IDEO.org as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get to work with very bright and innovative minds. Everybody is eager to solve difficult problems across the globe using design. People are positive and the work space is great.

    Cons

Because it's a smaller and newer organization, it feels a bit disorganized at times. I've also seen quite a bit of turnover, possibly due to it being a non-profit in the design world. For-profit design agencies are likely to pay more.

    I worked at IDEO.org full-time

    Pros

I worked with some of the most talented and brilliant people I've ever known. The work is interesting and has the potential for high impact of those who live with less access/rights/resources than most of us.

    Cons

It's a nonprofit so resources are scarce (understaffed) which leads to long hours and potentially an unbalanced work-life lifestyle.
