    Positive Outlook

I worked at IDP Education full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Worked with some extremely talented colleagues who understood the power of globalized education. Base pay was sufficient. International travel was a high-lite as well.

    Cons

Destination teams were always blamed for the short-comings of the source countries. Bonus plans changed mid year. Work/Life balance needs improvement.

    Advice to Management

Support employees, keep bonus plans consistent,

  2. "More worried about the bottom line than the students they serve"

I have been working at IDP Education full-time

    Pros

An international company that in theory could provide a lot of movement opportunities for an employee

Fairly stable future as it is one of the owners of the IELTS test

    Cons

As it is a large organization you can easily get lost in the structure. Many employees are simply considered cogs in the machine. The software that they have developed to "advise" students has done away with many of the soft skills that are needed when counseling students. IDP has become the McDonalds of Student Placement

    Advice to Management

Upper Management has very little clue about the Education industry. They are sales driven as opposed to trying to cater to the needs and wishes of the students they supposedly serve.

    Pros

    -Relaxed environment
    - good people to work with
    - Above market benchmark salary

    Cons

    - Limited or zero career path
    - opinionated top management
    - quality of work not at par with other industries
    -No role of HR

    Advice to Management

If you hire people from outside industry their career is your responsibility as well . Most of employees give their all but growth path is restricted to elites only which is not fair
