I worked at IDS (International Decision Systems) full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great people and compensation plus decent benefits.

    Cons

Unreasonable hours, process and meeting driven to the point of stalling progress forward, and uncomfortable tension among leadership. I continue to hear from former coworkers that the environment is getting worse and most have jumped ship.

    Advice to Management

Try to remain professional and treat each other with respect. Don't call a meeting unless you have an agenda and clear expectation of what needs to be accomplished. Remember your employees have lives and having conference calls at all hours of the day and night is unreasonable.

I have been working at IDS (International Decision Systems) full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good client base and software offering.

    Cons

IDS is an extremely toxic environment where only a select few have input on anything. There is no trust in their people to do anything. The executive team all have an ownership stake in the company now and it's all about the return on THEIR investments. Staff is mistreated and overworked to make a buck and the clients see this too. IDS does not have the ability to sustain a revenue stream into the future as the... competition is gaining on them.

    Advice to Management

There needs to be a major cultural shift in the company in order to survive. Start caring about your customers and your people first, then everything else can begin to fall into place. All stakeholders in the company should not be involved with the customers and put together a long-term plan. Right now there is nothing.

I worked at IDS (International Decision Systems) full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Other than great customers and some very loyal, long-term support and development staff, there are no pro's to working at IDS.

    Cons

I think a one star rating is too high. As a former employee with more than ten years I know of what I speak. I joined IDS when it was DSI and loved my initial years. DSI/IDS had great customers, good market share and the desire to offer the best solutions current and new customers. Today? IDS couldn't care less about either their employees or their customer base. Management isn't the slightest bit... concerned with either staff or customers, unless, of course, you are one of the "chosen one's". The CEO's behavior and treatment of women is simply reprehensible! Do not be coerced by any of the positive reviews, there is no good reason to work for IDS. The organization is imploding and toxic.
