    Pros

Able to telecommute to work. Direct supervisors in my department are responsive, professional and friendly.

    Cons

Payments for my work are two to three months late. The accounting department sometimes fails to respond to questions.

    Advice to Management

Treat your freelance workers more like your employees. Some of us work for you every single day.

    Pros

This organization is founded on noble causes.
    Good Innovation - Great Organization
    Colleagues are smart and nice
VOLUNTEERS - They work, they create and they direct the organization

    Cons

IT management has been chaotic. No continuity
The current IT in-charge is totally CLUELESS of IT.
Who decided to get this RAT. Many feel that this fellow is a lunetic and unfit to be CIO.

    Advice to Management

    Foster noble culture first.
Give a boot to chameleons and bully’s. They eat away the nobility in the founding vision.

    Pros

The work life is balanced, can be as rewarding as you want it to be, and it's a very laid back atmosphere. Some very good managers in certain departments.

    Cons

Slow atmosphere makes other offices a bit more attractive to the younger audience.

    Advice to Management

    Good work.

I have been working at IEEE full-time

    Pros

Work-life balance is awesome, especially for those with kids. The benefits are pretty good and most departments seem to have a "family" like vibe. Everyone is very friendly and helpful when you have questions.

    Cons

New employees from outside the company aren't shown a lot of respect when they first start. Upper management favors those who have been here for years and shuts down new ideas, especially from new employees. You're often told "this is how we've always done it" or "do it this way because I said so". It also doesn't feel like there is a lot of room for growth, many people have had the same titles for 5+ years with no promotion/opportunity to advance.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to the morale of your team and don't play favorites with team members. Employee engagement is a major concern of upper management, but when employees voice concerns/frustrations they usually aren't addressed.

I have been working at IEEE part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great work environment with a well balanced work to homelife ratio. Very fair environment based on gender. The company has a great ratio.

    Cons

Things happen very slowly here. HR seems to take a while processing requests compared to other companies I have worked with.

    Advice to Management

Work on the speed of things happening at the company. Processing internal requests, new jobs, upcoming jobs.
