    Pros

Coworkers are what made me stay, but when the good ones left... There wasn't anything else keeping me.

    Cons

Owner of the company doesn't know how to run his own business, treats his employees like they're worthless, only cares about saving money, scandal involving animal abuse, lousy pay, poor benefits

    Advice to Management

Please take a good hard look at how you treat your workers

I have been working at IEH Laboratories & Consulting Group full-time

    Pros

-Competitive rate of pay *for the area*
-Benefits are good, at least for single folks
-Always lots of overtime if you're into the extra money
-Trying to implement a different schedule and hire two new team members to reduce hours
-Up front about no opportunities to move up in company

    Cons

-15/hr, mislead in the interview that there would be a raise after 90 days, never happened & other employees
-Manager multiple times has discussed others' mistakes in front of all other lab members
-Even when we are swamped with samples, manager never ever gets up from her seat to help with work load, even if it is obvious no one will be eating lunch or going home until 6-8ish (work starts at 8am)
-Despite our long hours and work load managers won't let us combine our two15 minute break into one 30 minute break
    -Manager never personally trains anyone
-Everyone- our manager included- talks negatively about people behind their backs
-Everyone -including the manager- minus maybe 1 person complains about thejob itself
-Mislead about hours. There is ALWAYS mandatory overtime 6-10 hours weekly
-Mislead about weekends: when hired you're told you have to work every third weekend, never told that you're also "on call" every 8 weekends. Weekends ALWAYS include overtime, then you're forced to work Saturday-Friday, a full 7 days without a break. There is no weekend bonus pay
-We test samples for mold, yet have an issue with mold in our building. When doing controls to prove our working area is clean we have to "retest" for mold because our counts are consistently too high. We also use bleach and alcohol area sites before swabbing them
    -Very high turn over rate

    Advice to Management

Great job on trying to implement a schedule that would reduce stress and hours-- please follow through on this, be more up front about the job details before hiring, CARE more about employee morale

    Pros

Nice lab and great people to work with. My lab director was awesome.

    Cons

Corporate office would dither about decisions and when they decided it was immediately inacted. Like closing down an affiliated lab or laying off three quarters of the staff.
Also, Corporate would make a decision to test or make a media and not immediately set up a suppy chain, thus making the decision ineffective for months.

    Advice to Management

Work out your decicion making and let your workers have input on decisions that affect them. Making firing decisions effective immediately, especially before a major holiday, is going to make you look bad and taint your overall image.

    Pros

Nothing good to say about this company, maybe other than the coworkers you have.

    Cons

When I first started I wanted to start looking for my next job. That's how bad it was. Everything about IEH-MEI is HORRIBLE. Believe ALL the negative reviews here.

    Advice to Management

Figure things out...Mansour is an arrogant, narcissistic human being.

I worked at IEH Laboratories & Consulting Group (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They hire inexperienced new grads. You will practice techniques you learned about in college but nothing state of the art.

    Cons

Bad executive level management. The president/CEO seems to care nothing for his employees and will not invest a cent in making his work environment less draining and depressing. He flaunts his money in the underpaid employees faces with his strange taste in art.

    Advice to Management

Department level Management: Advocate more for your employees and demand better compensation.
Executive level Management: Invest in your people and you will keep more of them longer. Treat your employees fairly, not just the ones you have history with.
