I have been working at IET Inc. full-time

    Pros

Multiple opportunities to work with Fortune 500 companies, travel the globe, exposure to all levels of the organization, learn manufacturing knowledge from all industries

    Cons

Travel can be expected with long commutes most every weekend. Off shift work can also be expected.

I have been working at IET Inc. full-time

    Pros

    - If you're lucky, most of your projects will be decent and fun.
    - You'll learn more and improve your skills here more than anywhere with a desk job (But that's just how a consultant's job is)
    - If you travel alot, bonus hours and mileage pay will make up for the low salary

    Cons

    - They flaunt your skills in front of their clients, but bind you to the company.
    - Supervisors are not worthy of the position
    - Basically, you are a money pinata that is whacked constantly to make IET the big bucks, while you get virtually nothing

    Advice to Management

They're pretty much oblivious of this section. So, forget it. This company will be mediocre with no growth forever.

I worked at IET Inc. (More than a year)

    Pros

-Gain great experience in a small amount of time
    -Smart engineering managers
-Small company so it's easy to get noticed for your work
-CEO is very nice and personable

    Cons

-Very very low pay with small raises. (Only way to make significantly more money is to have an offer from another company)
    -Extremely high turnover
    -Required to live in Toledo
-Sunday - Friday travel unlike most companies that do Monday-Thursday
-Projects can be years long or very intense (12 hours 7 days a week until you quit)
-When you get a new project normally you are given very little information about the client, duration and scope of the project.
    -Management is very passive
-The only long term career opportunities will be with the company you eventually leave IET for

    Advice to Management

Focus more on your employee's and developing them since they are your greatest asset. Don't be afraid to pay them and maybe they'll start hanging around for more than a year. Re-engineer your own business model instead of other companies.

    Pros

Great exposure. It is a poor man's Deloitte or BCG.

    Cons

Constant Travel. Although the clients are charged an exorbitant sum for every contract renewal, the concerned employee hardly gets a piece of the cake.

    Advice to Management

If an employee works hard and gets a contract extended, make sure he/she is compensated well rather than cornering all the benefits for yourselves.

I have been working at IET Inc. full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

IET is a great place to work. The owners are very personable and interested in what employees are working on. Employees are full-time with IET and are not let go inbetween projects unless you are not performing (don't show up to work on-time, poor performance, bad attitude, etc.). Managers spend a great deal of time mentoring newer engineers and providing guidance / suggestions on assignments. IET wants all of their employees to be successful. Engineers gain a lot of experience in many different industries performing a wide range of engineering capabilities.

    Cons

If you are flexible, willing to travel, willing to learn, and have a good attitude - IET is a great place to work.

    Advice to Management

Continue with employee get togethers. The holiday party is great - everyone has a great time. The gatherings during the year help introduce new employees to IET as well as we get to see many of the employees that have been busy on projects.

    Pros

lots of exposure to different companies. Travel, if you enjoy it. good coworkers within the field.

    Cons

Pay is below average compared to other firms. Often expected to travel for long, extended periods of time. Often times your supervisors do not know much about how you perform at the jobsites you are actually working at. Your
