I have been working at IFG Project Resourcing full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Gives support and a great foundation for the fundamentals of recruiting. Its sales people! You want to make money? You do not work from 9-5.. If you want that go work at a fast food joint. In order to build relationships and gain trust from clients- it takes work. If you are not driven and do not want to make money- this is not the place for you. I learned so much that has attributed to my continued success in recruiting from IFG Pittsburgh. It was fun and it was tough- but I owe a lot to them!

    Cons

The work/life balance can be tough in the beginning, before you become established. You need to invest time in the beginning- but the reward is great!

    Advice to Management

Keep it simple- keep it real- Stay grounded and be yourselves! Long term relationships are the key to continued success

I worked at IFG Project Resourcing full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Opportunity to make money is real (if they pay your commissions). Hard-work will pay off with lots of job orders in the first 3-4 months. Lots of great promises from management.

    Cons

Too many managers with conflicting management styles, no training, no support, no pay-out for earned commissions ("due to the holiday" but it's now almost February??). Management will expect you to come in early, stay late, work through lunch to meet "productivity" goals that are lofty at best. Your base pay IS your pay, so if you decide to join, make sure that you negotiate high. Your sales efforts will not only be your rewards but everyone else's (you only get a % of what you do because everyone else finds a way to be a part of each deal).

    Advice to Management

Take some time to evaluate what is important to the management team... get on the same page and be diligent about sharing a vision. Develop a real training program to on-board employees and stick to one "productivity measurement" across the board. If the goal is 100 connects a week and NO-ONE (even your management team) is making that many, re-evaluate to something that is happening from your top performers that is achievable by EVERY member of the team and hold people accountable for that. Leading by example is the best way to go.
