    Pros

IG is a leader in the industry, management is pro-active and supportive with a strategic view toward growth and willingness to support employees who put in the effort.

    Cons

The industry is still being scrutinized from regulations resulting from 2008, but the management team is doing all they can to grow strategically and pay employees well.

    Advice to Management

Find ways to further support employees in the organization beyond their current role

Great for young graduates and bilingual. Dynamic, young and fast pace environment.
Turnover hence promotion opportunities. Good step before moving to a bigger firm, bank.

    Cons

Not good at identifying potential. Measures are not always implemented or slow.
Internationals are not being rewarded fairly. Year end reviews are not objective.

I have been working at IG full-time

    Pros

Great international team which is a real pleasure to work with. Good tech stack, which is evolving. Also, green light to pay the tech debt. Good line management, I've never felt a shortage of information or assistance. Good social events (skiing, kayaking, monthly beers and etc). Overall, probably the best place I've worked in so far.

    Cons

Salary could be better (or much better). Also, communication around it could also be improved. It is a bit disheartening to being spammed about the company's best month, quarter and etc and then to receive no salary raise with good performance reviews. There is an odd system for self development. There is no clear budget for the person. Priorities change each week. Sometimes it's hard to understand which project should be worked on. Communication between departments could be better.

I have been working at IG full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Forward thinking and trusting senior management team, willing to support all ideas that have the potential to contribute to the business objectives, letting the data make the decisions. Having a completely in-house marketing team that is quick to react to market events and collaborate effectively across functions.

    Cons

Very few but being the industry leader can probably make us complacent from time to time. We also have a lower appetite for risk than others in the industry which although a big positive in some ways (longevity of the company!) does constrain us from some more 'out of the box' ideas.

    Advice to Management

Keep communicating consistent objectives for departments to work towards, and try and help keep priority between competing objectives clear for all to see.
