I have been working at IGS Energy full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Top tier company, good salary, family ethos, philanthropist ideology. Honest and friendly staff, opportunity to earn more money through commissions.

    Cons

To be honest I don’t have any problems with IGS. In anything in life what you put in is what you get out. If you’re not motivated or lazy look elsewhere!

    Advice to Management

Please continue making an impact on our communities as you do.

I worked at IGS Energy full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great bunch of teammates. Teamwork between HECs was excellent despite management.

    Cons

Many things were not mentioned during the interview and training process, including: Working on Saturday if you miss hours or sales. Despite being a salaried employee, you are treated as hourly with zero work/life balance. Commission only paid on sales AFTER your salary is covered (12 sale min, commissions start at 13) which equates to $40/week. If you have a sick day (hours are docked from pay), your weekly target...

I have been working at IGS Energy full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Loved working with customers, the flexibility of my day, great benefits, fun place to work, company recognition, family atmosphere, uncapped commission (ability to write own paycheck essentially) very incorporated in community from donations to the local high schools, volunteer opportunities, and spending time in/with the community

    Cons

Rejection in sales can be hard

I worked at IGS Energy full-time for less than a year

    Pros

You can be honest and transparent, don’t need to pretend to be someone else. You can be yourself and this is the most important thing. It will help you find out easier if this job is for you or not . Good salary. Realistic goals. Good training.

    Cons

Hours vary and sometimes you could work on Saturdays; customers are not always nice and friendly so be cautious, know yourself and know if you are able to face the adversities before enrolling. The weather, competition in the field, maybe days with effort but no results..expect to see these! This will be your own battle. Being in the field is not an easy job to do but at the end of the week it will be worth it.

I have been working at IGS Energy full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I can't say enough good things about working here. At first I was hesitant because you're selling door to door but from the phone screen to my 2nd interview I was almost begging them to hire me. The training is phenomenal and they go at your pace. You're joining a team who makes you feel like family the moment you meet them. Everyone is so empowering, loving and genuine. The pay is great, with a base pay plus commission....

    Cons

Downside is that it's door to door sales but to be honest it's not bad. We sell with integrity and I feel no pressure to make a sale. You make your customers aware that they have a choice in what they pay and if you can provide them with more value, they will sign up. If they are already in a good situation, I let them know they should stay put for now and I'll check on them when their contract ends.

    Advice to Management

Thank you for your patience, your understanding, your words of encouragement and support.

I have been working at IGS Energy full-time for less than a year

    Pros

People you work with are great! Every employee gets equal beat down for sales. Allow you to work for charitable organizations and help out in the community.

    Cons

Door to door sales - Work Mon. thru Fri. but if you don't meet sales quota you have to work Saturdays. Be careful, if you don't meet sales, verbal warning 1st, written 2nd and 3rd written for termination. Plan on working 6 days a week. 2 days out of the week are meetings so your day will be extra long - 9 am to 8pm. Gift card bonus - so you have to pay taxes on them by the next check and 20 cents per mile on travel...

    Advice to Management

Employees understand that if we don't sell, management doesn't make the money. Pyramid type of thing. Would be nice not to get so many messages on the work I-pad beating you down to "keep pushing" and "sell strong" as you are working. Employees need to make the money, so they don't have to be reminded when they are having a hard time closing. If you sell good, the quota will change for you so you have to work even harder!...

I worked at IGS Energy for less than a year

    Pros

Very friendly environment. The team you work with is very caring and helpful i your own individual work. Gives you insight on the energy industry.

    Cons

This position is literally a door to door job. Not ideal hours by any means. I would never do it again.

    Advice to Management

Pay people more money. For the work you do, you don't get paid enough and its pretty ridiculous.
