    Pros

OLD IGT: great working conditions, benefits, salary. CURRENT IGT: there is literally nothing good to say.

    Cons

Corporate raider Patti Hart absolutely gutted IGT. Middle Management is now the worst I have ever experienced. It is toxic and creates a hostile work environment. They favor only those in their inner circle with promotions and choice assignments. The only qualifications these people have is that they are buddies with their Manager. They are arrogant and self-serving because they know they are not held accountable for anything. This group could not survive in any other company. As a result promoting a "bully" corporate culture, IGT has seen an unprecedented loss of talent. So sad.

    Advice to Management

They need to bring back the management style of former CEO TJ Matthews. It was a great place to work, one where we were generously rewarded for our hard work. Senior Management needs to leave the ivory tower occasionally and really see what is going on with this company. Firing all of Middle Management would be a huge first step toward a change for the better.

I have been working at IGT full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They have a reasonable benefits package.
Salaries were somewhat competitive with the market.
Some limited chances to work remotely.
    Engineering staff is generally good.
A place to hide and collect a paycheck for a while.

    Cons

Nepotism and cronyism in the upper management. Very 1950's attitudes.
Leadership lacks direction, ability to lead or innovate.
Company culture is very poor or perhaps "poisonous", so employees and middle management are ignored, not allowed to contribute to helping the company succeed (just given marching orders).
Leaders appear to make business decisions based on emotional and personal (non business related) reasons.
Upper management continues to get bonuses even as profits decline fast.

I have been working at IGT full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits, 401k, Paid Time, Sick Time, Holidays, Float Days
Work Environment is Open, Clean, Calm
    Location is Great
    On Site Cafe and Gym

    Cons

The budget is usually low for group activities.

Recent years have brought worse health insurance options, less time off, lower 401k match %, and other benefits once had being cut away. The morale has suffered.

    Advice to Management

Put more efforts toward having happy employees and less trying to keep the quarterly books looking sharp for the investors. Reinstate the Holiday Season Bonuses/Perks.

    Pros

Pay and benefits were good. Vacation, 401K, 3 different medical plans to choose from, detail, vision, etcPretty low key atmosphere. Great community involvement.

    Cons

No structure or accountability. Laid back atmosphere to a fault. Other co-workers did not follow standards or common sense and made it frustrating because it was constantly overlooked.

    Pros

IGT has some great people, although many have left over the years.

    Cons

It's not the same company anymore. They should not have taken the "IGT" name after the acquisition.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, there are alot of really strong people and they need a voice.

    Pros

Generous vacation time but with a catch, you're not allowed to always take it, it depends more on your bosses mood when you ask than actual business need

    Sick time given

    Cons

Very much a 'boys club' a moman has to be nasty to get ahead

    No raises

    Moody bosses

    Expensive insurance

    Advice to Management
