    Pros

Pretty laid back days where the work will be scarce, get off at decent time and are allowed to bring truck and laptop home

    Cons

Back stabbing co-workers that will throw you under the bus before they call you and lend you a helping hand

    Advice to Management

    Provide more training...

I worked at IGT full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great work environment: I loved working along talented mathematicians, game designers, artists, sound engineers and software engineers.

    Cons

After a few projects the work did seem a bit repetitive

    Pros

Good Pay, excellent training, no two "Hits" are the same. Great job for those wanting a flexible part-time on-call job.

    Cons

Started expanding our territories just before I left, making for very long commutes (several hours) to some casinos. (And you hoped you didn't get a back-to-back Hit.)

    Advice to Management

Some Superviors need to learn they are only as good as their staff.

I worked at IGT full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Easy access off main freeway (215). Pleasant campus, close to shopping and eating.

    Cons

CHURN & BURN! If you're a PM or gaming SME avoid like the plague! Like many in the Vegas gaming industry, IGT has no clue how to run projects (best practice, Agile/PMI). They burn out their PM's by loading them up and micromanaging their methodology (a multi-page spreadhseet checklist called a Phase-Gate review). They expect 75%-125% travel (125% includes weekend time.)

    Advice to Management

Stop treating your employees like resources to be used up. Stop your focus on the bottom line ($$) and realize that your employees are human beings and that cultivating loyalty for the future might have merits.
