    Pros

    * Work-life balance is reasonable
    * Making casino games is more fun than I originally expected
    * Most projects have a relatively short 3-4 month timeframe so by the time you get bored with a game you are onto the next.

    Cons

    * Promotions and salary increases have been locked for three years.
    * Bonuses have disappeared
    * Stock program has disappeared
    * Benefits are well below average in the Bay Area
    * Recently talent that has left has not been replaced with comparable talent. In many cases full-time employees who have left have been replace by contractors or not replaced at all.
    * Depending on the role you may need to work around the clock as we have offices in Beijing, Manchester and Serbia.

    Advice to Management

    To obtain the right talent you need to pay market rate and offer comparable benefits to other companies in the Bay Area. To retain talent you have to offer merit increases, bonuses and stock that make the employees feel that you have their best interests in mind.

    I worked at IGT full-time

    Pros

    People were great to work with. Some complainers especially among the longer term employees.

    Cons

    Tech was not up to date. No real innovation.

    I have been working at IGT full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Innovative designs. Fun to work in an innovative environment with creative people. Lots of people I'd work with again if I have the chance.

    Cons

    Lackluster management. Change to GTech hasn't produced any interesting developments. Seems like a lot of confusion and management churn.

    Advice to Management

    Get it together. It would be great if the company cared as much about the employees as it does the customers. No interest in long-term, experienced people.

    Pros

    Fun company to work for. There people there are very friendly and are willing to go the extra distance to help you. Learned a lot about markets i knew little about.

    Cons

    There is not much I can think of for cons, except that there was not formal intern program, so the assignments were just based on whatever the manager was working on, which is not a big deal

    Advice to Management

    Maybe try to develop an intern program that is more structured. Outside of that, I had a great time during my internship

    I worked at IGT full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The company offered a good work and life balance. The SF office is situated in a great location within the San Francisco tech community. Lots of tech meetups within walking distance.

    Cons

    Co-workers do not have a passion for technology. Technologically the company is slow to embrace modern web technologies.
