    Pros

Travel to exotic locals. Self-directed sales and collaboration with client companies.

    Cons

overreaching pissant junior management, with no field experience, and little sales expertise.

    Advice to Management

Promote the doers, do not discard.

    Pros

Company merged recently and is adopting some of the other companies benefits, which seems nice thus far. Hoping for a few other changes overall.

    Cons

The work from home policy is lacking. The company supposedly allows it, but depending on your leader, the rule is seriously lacking.

    Advice to Management

    Transparency is everything.

I worked at IHS (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Good benefits.
    Good life/work balance.
    Multiple locations.

    Cons

    Non-competitive pay.
    No job security.
    Very few career opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Provide more communication so the employees understand the goals of their immediate groups and departments instead of the general "We are Number One!" .

    Pros

Great colleagues, good office atmosphere, good benefits and leadership team

    Cons

Company is constantly restructuring and realigning. Had been through four major department restructuring and have had several different bosses. Every time something new came up everyone was concerned they will lose their job

    Advice to Management

Settle on a structure so everyone can do their job. Ihs is a great company but is overshadowed internally by the concern of layoffs and restructuring. Hard to do a good job when you are concerned you won't have one

    Pros

Great benefits, good work life balance, excellent extras such as vto's and is very friendly about working from home. Is a nice place to work and has upward mobility if you follow the career paths they outline.

    Cons

The management is all over the place and very short sighted. Buys a lot of companies but integrates them poorly. Switches direction regularly and then acts surprised when the shifts don't work.

    Advice to Management

Stop being so clever and fix what you have rather than chasing the next best thing. There are so many opportunities you could introduce if you just changed your focus to your own company rather than future acquisitions. If you're going to be an information company, don't look down on the brains of the company.

    Pros

A lot of great people to work with. Clear objectives and lots to learn and do.
