I have been working at IKEA part-time

    Pros

Very nice people. They take very good care of employees. The management are very nice and understanding which I think causes the overall trickle down effect of a positive and productive work place that is IKEA.

    Cons

sometimes the carts bump my shins lol but that's only because im new and need to get my technique down better. There really are none that I can see at all.

    Advice to Management

none..i would ask them for advice because every manager I have been in contact their are very open to helping and have a lot of class.

    Cons

Pay is just average for more than average amounts of work. Stress can be high at times of busiest customer traffic.

    Pros

Great working for Ikea I love it. They care about each of the co-workers and try and work with them as much.

    Cons

Customers can be crappy and crabby. Closing you're there till 11 and it's long nights. Retail. Customers can be rude

I have been working at IKEA part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Benefits, mandatory breaks and guaranteed 30 minute lunch, store discount, reduced price meal in staff cafeteria, opportunity to advance your career.

    Cons

The computer program that creates our schedules has some flaws concerning Personal Time Off, everyone is expected to have an extremely flexible availability, standing the entire time, technology interface at all levels of the business are lacking and very frustrating for both employee and customer to deal with.

    Advice to Management

The management really try to help their teams. Some things that were promised in the job interview were later rescinded or modified in a less favorable way after the job was taken.
