I have been working at IM Flash Technologies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It's a great place to work. Fair compensation. Great benefits. Stays busy. The best shift work schedule there is.

    Cons

Promotions within your job are rigorously top heavy and require documenting every little thing you do as well as gaining experience through being in the right place in the right time.

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at IM Flash Technologies full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

People are great to work with. The bonuses are based on company and personal performance. There is opportunity to advance. You can only go as far as you work and education will take you.

    Cons

To many politics for promotions. To much secrecy on compensation at all levels.

    Advice to Management

Need more flexibility for submitting project ideas. Allow people to know what they can make at higher levels in the company so that people do not look for better opportunities else where.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

I make a decent salary and have a large amount of time off. I am also allowed to use that time off as I see fit and am not limited on when it can be used.

    Cons

There is no room for advancement at IMFT. The company portrays it but in all actuality the opportunity just isn't there.

    Advice to Management

Allow more advancements. It IS cost effective. The cost of not promoting people is not easily seen on a budget sheet but it is there.

    Pros

Challenging, interesting work. High end equipment.

    Cons

The company is in a financial tight spot with the commodity status of it's NAND Flash Chips. There is an over supply and market demand has collapsed, causing the ASP (Average Selling Price) to tank. Bonus' and pay has been cut company wide. The company is currently doing some house cleaning which has tainted relations not only between employees and management but also on the FAB floor between employees.
Promotion, by a very wide margin, goes to former Micron employees over both former Intel employees and those hired at the start of the joint venture.

Be very sure you want to live in Utah if you take a job here.

The pay is middle of the road, but for the cost of living here I would expect to be able to get to the beach in 10 minutes.

    Advice to Management

Live up to your stated values.
