    Pros

    Constantly able to learn, grow and move up in the company. Colleagues are very skilled and capable and everyone works together towards common goals.

    Cons

    Volatile Market (funny, because we manufacture NON-volatile memory)

    I have been working at IM Flash Technologies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Benefits are decent. Onsite health clinic, onsite gym, 5% 401k matching, HSA contribution.

    Cons

    Conflicting priorities between parent companies leads to systematic breakdown in communication and lack of direction. No idea what the priorities are and they change constantly. Work with multiple teams with separate objectives and no one has any idea what to prioritize or why. Projects get delayed because teams can’t organize the people they need because they’re split between ten other projects.

    Advice to Management

    Be more transparent with what’s happening with the direction of the company. Communicate line of sight better. Managers need to understand the engineering work better and also should be able to explain to the engineers what they are working on and why. Shouldn’t have to report to separate managers and waste time providing updates in meetings because managers don’t know how to do their job effectively.

    Pros

    Benefits are good (gym, health incentives)
    You do not need to work hard - just play hard or network with managers and you'll be fine

    Cons

    Not a lot of opportunities for Career advancement
    Male dominated leadership team
    You need to be an LDS to advance your career
    HR are puppets of managers -- inHuman resource

    Train your managers how to appraise performance so that workforce will be optimized and those who just report for work can be given the right message

    I have been working at IM Flash Technologies full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Vacation time is excellent. Start by accruing 11.5 hours per month and get up to 15 hours after 7 years. Bonuses are based on company performance so everyone contributes to the results. Being a joint venture of parent companies Intel and Micron guarantee a high tech atmosphere and the corporate support of both parents.

    Cons

    Micron is the dominant partner for employee relations. Although very successful as a technology developer and executing latest products to market, Micron's employee programs are always in a state of flux and company developed software for internal applications is tough to deal with. Opportunities for employment at Intel don't exist and opps for Micron are very limited.

    Advice to Management

    IMFT compensation is great, don't let Micron mess with it. A few real employee perks will make IMFT a very desirable company in the area. The new gym will be great.
