    Pros

Growing Company chance to be part of that growth.

    Cons

Far too many politics and posturing for rank. Lack of teamwork and collaboration within IT. Poor Work / Life balance and culture.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on fewer goals and get something done vs promising on everything and delivering on nothing.

I worked at INC Research full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The only pro was just the paycheck

    Cons

At the beginning they will tell you they are different than other CROs but that is not true at least not for SSU. They over work their specialists to a point than few of them had a nervous break down at the office and couple of them handed over their laptops and left. Manager only care about assigning studies that they hae on their resourcing agenda but they actually don`t give a damn about whether you can handle the work load or not. Managers don`t care about your developmental goals and career development at all. they only look at you as a resource that they are they are to take the most out of until you burn out. I am very glad that I left INC and work at the place that I am not overworked anymore and my manager cares about my career and developmental goals.

    Advice to Management

Please look at the retention rate for SSU and find out reasons that most Site Start Up and Regulatory Specialists leave the company only after working 1-2 years at the company

Expectations are too high for level of experience and training
Lack of leadership in my department

    Advice to Management

Remember employees make each quarter great or not. Invest more in them.

    Pros

Trusted Process, Management systems are getting better, but there are too many.

    Cons

Middle management has grown where operations as not. The company used to pride themselves on their quality and flat management. The Senior level members have no idea what it takes to run a study, and don't want to know.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and realize they are not just numbers.

I worked at INC Research full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They have a fantastic onboarding and overall training program - even better than many of the larger CROs.

    Cons

Your career at INC could hinge on whether the department head liked you or not. Lots of maneuvering and strategizing needed to be done to get ahead; it wasn't a given that your job performance alone would influence your career progression. They also forced PMs living within an hour of the office to come to the office at least 3 days/wk, even though they would put up to 3 people in a cramped office due to lack of space.

    Advice to Management

choose only a few things to get done right instead of many that dont get done

I have been working at INC Research full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Supportive management and a positive work environment
Salaries are at fair market value or better and INC will do market adjustments if needed
INC is a growing financially healthy company
HQ move to Morrisville will help recruitment and visibility. I know many people who won't even apply at INC right now due to the current out of way locations in north Raleigh
Up to date EDC and CTMS technology
Industry competitive benefits (except tuition reimbursement)

    Cons

Management can be a little too nice, leading to a lack of accountability and too much dead weight
Career growth not emphasized, especially if you want to move between functional areas
Now INC is a public company, there is more emphasis on the immediate bottom line leading to some poor decisions (i.e. layoffs of CDAs)
    No tuition benefits

    Advice to Management

Work harder to create a true "Culture of Opportunity"
