I worked at INEOS for more than a year

    Pros

Great benefits Tons of safety meetings (they do care about your well-being)

    Cons

People are the first thing to be cut in a dip Senior management is floundering. They have no idea where the company is truly going and only realistically give a one year at a time plan, which is frusterating when most development plans are several years long. This means that they constantly change

    Advice to Management

There should definitely be more transparency

I have been working at INEOS

    Pros

It is a good company with good people.

    Cons

Senior management does not know how to deal with people. No respect for management exist. If it wasn't for the team work on shifts it would not be a good place to work

    Advice to Management

Treat employees fairly. Respect their feelings. Be open minded.

I have been working at INEOS full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Flexible working, reasonable pay. No office politics. Not heavy on paper work. Reasonable annual leave.

    Cons

Retrenchments over the past few years makes it hard for employees to stay focus on job. No managers made it to retirement age and mostly asked to leave years before retirement age. Limited or almost no career advancement. Poor or almost no employee communication between senior management--CEO level with managers. Not a good long term company for fresh graduates and graduates with a few years experience.

    Advice to Management

    Value your employee.

I have been working at INEOS

    Pros

Close to home. Funds for projects usually available if return justified. Flexible working hours. Direct line managers are mostly reasonable people with a few exceptions who are w*nk*rs. Holidays OK.

    Cons

Employees treated as a liability. Employee terms and conditions continually eroded to reduce fixed costs. Recruitment on hold. Senior management seem to be incompetent. That might be a bit strong as they are powerless to implement any changes without permission from Ineos group who seem to keep a tight rein on everything that goes on. All spend authority has been removed from engineers. Senior managers are... required to approve all spend. This just makes getting anything done a real pain. The level of beurocracy is stifling and Engineers always seem to be at the end of the chain of delegation. Simply ordering a replacement piece of kit and getting someone on site to fit/repair it is a major task with reams of paperwork, dozens of signatures required, procurement obstacles to overcome, inductions to be organized. Nothing happens easily.

    Advice to Management

Think more about looking after the experienced people who are still here and haven't already left. We are not mercenary idiots. Most of us are passionate about our jobs and want the company to succeed.
