I have been working at INEOS full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The site I work at has incredible personnel. There is a strong "family" environment and co-workers support and help one another to solve issues/problems.

    Cons

Upper management tends to micromanage and over analyze. This leads to an environment that stifles progress and inhibits effective management of capital investments and maintenance at the site.

    Advice to Management

Allow personnel to manage the work that they are hired to perform.

I have been working at INEOS full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Most of the "knowledge core" are great people to work with, bonus is high and pays out often, privately owned

    Cons

O&P entering a tight market soon with many competitor crackers coming online, about half of upper management have a tendency to bully and have never known any better style

    Advice to Management

Sort out the true high performers, there is still some dirty underwear that needs changing in this upcoming down cycle. Invest more in people, grow your core while the getting is still good, defocus on pet projects and acquisitions

    Pros

No pros to report for this company.

    Cons

*little to no training *unrealistic expectations given the training provided *favoritism *nepotism *male dominated upper management *very poorly managed *no growth opportunities

    Advice to Management

Care enough about the company to provide professional development to employees. Promote from within and work toward developing a diverse corporate culture that includes all races and genders especially in upper management.

    I worked at INEOS

    Pros

Small, and flexible organization that doesn't get too caught up in beauacracy like larger companies do. It's not perfect, but better.

    Cons

Limited opportunities for advancement. Local managers are supervised by directors who are located in Antwerp. This basically allows them to do as they please and not necessarily follow the promises set forth by Ineos upper management.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees more. They shouldn't have to scream to get your attention.
