I worked at ING full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good compensation and bonuses. The company would pay for anyone to prepare for and take the CFA exam. There are some nice co-workers.

    Cons

Poor work/life balance for back office employees. Poor performers are kept around for way too long in alot of cases. Certain awful managers were seemingly rewarded for bad behavior, and HR was powerless to intervene.

I worked at ING full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great Benefits, salary comparable with market trends. Ability to work remote

    Cons

Lack of internal upward mobility. Executive Mgmt within IT seems to be in a constant state of flux

    Advice to Management

They wouldn't listen to anything written anyway

I have been working at ING full-time

    Pros

Dedicated gym and cafeteria. Great perks and highly competitive salary. Diverse environment. Amazing down to earth people which makes collaborating and meetings go well (overall).

    Cons

Just like with any job place, there are difficult people and bosses. Depending on your team / boss, details and projects that should be easy become vague and difficult.

I worked at ING full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits are pretty good and the work is very challenging. This company has just separate from its parent company and there are a lot of opportunities to grow.

    Cons

There are a lot of "priority" projects which are "most Important" Very difficult to get direction on which one is the "fire drill of the day"

    Advice to Management

Communication is still an issue and training is not encouraged for that matter even available.

    - Training was very formative

I have been working at ING full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, generous PTO plan, Volunteer Time Off, Nice camps

    Cons

Everything is a fire-drill, Finance is a "do as you are told" type of environment with very little leadership thinking. Recently IPO'd and new C-Suite has a great vision but the leadership level beneath are not on board and prevent changes from occurring. Very long tenures of senior management so they don't necessarily understand modern companies' best practices.

    Advice to Management

Consider serious process improvement throughout corporate and realize that current management is not always interested in the best way but rather the way they know and with which they are comfortable.

I worked at ING as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great people
    Challenging projects
    Gym at site
    Cafeteria on site
Able to join real meetings and projects
    Lunch and Learns

    Cons

They did not have a offering stage of the internship to be a full-time employee. Seems as though you work as intern and hired to full-time with no break in between, essentially only good for graduated students.
