I worked at INTO as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

People really care about the mission. It's lively - and is meant to provide a great university environment for students.

    Cons

Very difficult to manage ingrained attitudes at host universities.

I have been working at INTO full-time

    Pros

Wonderful students, nice campus at USF

    Cons

Does not promote within, after dangling it to everyone constantly, wants to pay adjunct rates but get 100% commitment from instructors, lack of stability, used a raffle to award summer jobs, which resulted in some getting more work than desired and others having to wait until the last minute and possibly not getting as much as desired, decreased pay in past three years, very focused on profit, not student learning

    Advice to Management

promote within instead of externally, quit changing the policies and curriculum constantly,
