I worked at INX International Ink full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

INX seems to be involved in a lot of different product lines, UV/EB, water base, solvent based, sheet fed, wide web, etc.
They have some very experienced product developers.

    Cons

There's busy times and quiet times in the lab.
    Draconian about personal computer use.
Very cost driven. It's a race to the bottom in terms of pricing and costs.
You don't get any vacation time the first year. Depending when you were hired, you won't be accruing much vacation for the second year either. You must work two years before you get a normal vacation allotment

    Advice to Management

The CEO seems good as well as some department managers. But you have to walk on eggshells around some employees.

    Pros

Local Field-Ops management provided all the training and resources needed. Every one of my co-workers were easy to get along with. All local employees worked toward the common goal of driving the company forward.

    Cons

Senior management is a big brother in all the wrong ways. Instead of helping to improve operations, judgement and scrutiny are delivered from senior management. Highly political corporate culture that does not blend well with field operations. Some travel required which is hard on people with families.

    Advice to Management

Trust your employees in Field-ops. Playing big brother and managing by the numbers from corporate headquarters rather than positively progressing field operations is a sure fire way to have the people representing your company in the field resent you and cringe every time they know you are coming to visit. Be more willing and open to requests for employees who want to advance. This type of loyalty should be treated with respect, not cast aside. That is how you lose employees who wanted to build a career with your company.

    Pros

People are generally nice. I really liked my boss. Really nice facilities and technology to work with. I liked how they were flexible with schedules.

    Cons

It seems like only people who suck up to the right people can get ahead here. Just because someone has worked their longer does not mean they are more productive.

    Pros

People are nice and easy to work with. Working time is flexible. The manager will hear you if you cry out loud enough :)

    Cons

Everything is project oriented. If you try to pause and compile all you learned from previous projects and come up with a better solution, you probably would not have the luxury to do that.

    Pros

Excellent hourly wage for production workers! If you work at the Homewood Illinois facility, you will be with an excellent management team that works with their people and has a nice family type environment.

    Cons

If you work at West Chicago facility prepare to be talked down to by bosses. Although pay is still excellent, at this plant you are in a negative environment and you can not make this management happy! They also have a problem with racist comments coming from supervisors, which seems to take way to long to rectify.

    Advice to Management

Happy workers make productive workers !! Senior officials should follow the way Homewood facility is ran. Management has open door policy with its employees and will listen to its people,in return the employees work hard and actually have respect for their bosses.
