Pros

Leader in the CRO industry. Advanced technology makes your job easier. You work with big clients who know what they’re doing and skilled team members who are experts at what they do, so not everything falls on the shoulders of just a few people. If you get a good line manager, you can grow and develop a lot.

Cons

Processes are too detailed. There are too many sources of information and reporting. Resourcing is always slow and challenging. Each department within IQVIA does their own thing so it feels very siloed at times. Senior oversight is not always transparent. There is a “cut-throat” culture in a lot of ways — lots of throwing people under the bus instead of building people up. I’ve seen this improve in the last 2 years. Salaries are lower than competitors but I understand why - it’s because they put more money into tool and systems to support project managers to make their job easier.
