I have been working at ISACA full-time

      Pros

A company full of hard-working and intelligent individuals. Small teams work well together. Benefits are best of the best. Stable and secure work. Culture has changed to become more modern and flexible, and the organization is working hard to improve internal communication.

      Cons

Lots of talented individuals, but not enough skilled "people managers" in place to connect the dots and lead visionary paths to success. The organizational mission is extremely broad. While this opens up opportunities, it causes teams to be doing so much [competing] work at once, that not one project is actually done to its fullest potential. Departments are disconnected.

      Advice to Management

People would enjoy working here more if they did not feel so disconnected from leadership decisions, or if they better understood how their tactical work connects to weekly/monthly/annual strategic goals.

I have been working at ISACA full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Excellent benefits, if you work hard in this company the rewards will pay for themselves. From a management perspective the team is on board to do whatever is necessary to continue our success. Excellent Innovative team on the Cyber side, that is producing an excellent new revenue stream.

      Cons

I would like there to be more collaboration between the various teams. I Believe the end goal is in sight but there is some needed work to truly collaborate as one.

      Advice to Management

Continue being innovative, and the pieces will fall together. Would like to hire additional resources in Sales and Development, to expand our reach.

I have been working at ISACA full-time for more than 2 years

        Pros

Great Benefits, great pay, on my first day to work they gave me a starbucks gift card, hand written card, isaca jacket and had everything ready, great people to work with, no politics here, you get to work with people around the world in a respected global association, which in many ways acts like a growing company, and you don't have to worry about people getting let go randomly, despite it's history and size it's not...

        Cons

Over the years there has been some change, and some of those processes are being worked on still, it has the bones of a great company, but a handful of folks are holding the company back by living in 1990s processes and not adapting to change, however the CEO's is fully in support of adapting

        Advice to Management

Focus on supporting all aspects of the company beyond membership relations, there is a world of opportunity to take this organization to new heights, however we need to invest in other areas and let go of the old ways to move to that goal.

I have been working at ISACA full-time for more than a year

        Pros

So far this has been a great place to work. Everyone stops by and introduces themselves from the top down. No other company has ever done that where I have been in the past. They take the time to thank people for working hard. They also stand firmly behind the values of the company which is key for the organization to really move forward in a positive direction. I am glad to be here and glad to be a place where I feel...

I worked at ISACA full-time for more than 9 years

        Pros

I met some brilliant people at this company that could really make things happen in a positive way. Most all of the people I worked with honestly wanted to give their best, and had no issues with working overtime to get there. They offer excellent benefits like fully paid health, dental, vision, and life for the employee. One of the other great benefits happens to be the dollar for dollar match on their 401k up...

        Cons

Favoritism towards specific employees is rampant, and it does not matter how hard you work, how dedicated you are to the company's success. The only way to progress or get what you need is to know who to buddy up to in order to move ahead. Should you choose a role at this company, please make sure to butter up as many directors and chiefs as you can, that matters more than doing a good job, or working until the wee...

        Advice to Management

Go full tilt on COBIT and your fully developed certifications to maintain your major lines of business while you continue to grow your IT Security product. Stop with the favoritism on requests, and actually TALK to the employee to determine why they are making a request. Asking for an end date from an employee who served your organization happily for almost a decade with no HR issues, great annual reviews, and generating...
