I worked at IT Alliance Group full-time

    Pros

A few decent large corporate clients, ability to work at a large otherwise unaccessible business. High tech menial jobs.

    Cons

Very limited growth opportunities. No bonuses. Stiff internal structure. Grab your skills and move on.

    Advice to Management

Get more involved with your staff otherwise this will remain a mercenary camp.

I worked at IT Alliance Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    If only there was some

    Cons

    -No benefits
    -Petty salary
    -Managers never listen
-Always stepped over and the people that have been there the longest are the "best" and always "right"
-Several occasions I rasied issues to my manager and every time they were not dealt with
-The longer you work here the less useful you will become and will gain no experience at all
-The billing department will never work out for reasons that people already know, if you have not worked here for at least 10 years or you are a manager, then you have no hope of being listened to.

    Advice to Management

Several times there was finance disputes about a query, I would build a backup and have all relevent information to show and highlight the issue. Several times I was stepped over by my manager and told I was "wrong" by the lovely lady who works in billing. This would all be said before even looking at my evidence and had actually been refused by both manager and other party to have a look. When they both decide to work together and find that the problem I raised, which was in fact an issue, there was no acknowledgement to the fact I clearly had this all worked out. I saw the reviews on this website before taking the job and I wish now I listened. If you are reading this, learn from me. Do not work in the finance department for this company. I will happily sign this off.

    Pros

Exciting work with a growing business, but I felt that the company was small enough that senior managers didn't feel too out of reach.

    Cons

Contact pay was not great, and there was limited opportunity to progress due to the nature of the job.

I have been working at IT Alliance Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I work the hours I want, as long as I work 40 a week. Suits me to start early and finish early. Very much self directed work, there is no micromanager. I get paid bang on time, early if 25th falls on a weekend or even on a Monday. Manager involving me in interesting projects out of scope for my role, which is a bonus.

    Cons

BPO, so it's "bums on seats" mostly for a client. In that situation, there is no career advancement, no salary increases, and no certainty that, despite their contract being renewed, there won't be a headcount reduction, which happened in our team only a few months ago. As for ITA themselves, they are sloppy at times, and not great with people, sometimes the way they handle individuals or groups lacks diplomacy.

    Advice to Management

    Manage your reputation.

    Pros

Highly professional approach, great SMEs, if you are a Project or Service Delivery Manager, this is a company for you. Also, if you don't work in the HQs.

    Cons

Holistic approach meaning you end up doing jobs of two or three people for one salary, expected to work all impossible hours. You may also end up doing something completely different than you were hired for.
Extremely rigid in terms of hours worked by you but less lenience if you need some time back.
Very low service age of people, high attrition.

    Advice to Management

Listen to people and analyse how you can keep people.

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

    - The team keep you going as everyone is in the same terrible boat

    Cons

    - No structure / no processes
    - High turnover of staff with no hand over to incoming employees
    - Weak management
    - Basic salary and NO benefits
    - No appreciation
    - It's all about the sales people in here and keeping them happy
    - Hired for one role but carrying out the role of 2 - 3 people (it's impossible)
    - Expected to stay for OT to ridiculous hours with no appreciation or compensation

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff and their ideas as they are on the ground and witnessing the unhappiness of the contractors who don't get paid on time 9 times out of 10. This causes a terrible atmosphere. The contractors believe the finance team are unprofessional and unqualified to do their jobs however it's actually the fact that the finance team are very understaffed and have to cover the mistakes of senior management. The general atmosphere throughout the entire group is that finance are fools and don't know what they are doing when actually they are a team of highly qualified professionals being taken advantage of. The average finance team employee stays less than a year.
