      Pros

The faculty did their best to actual help students.

      Cons

The main administrators were all business (wo)men whose main objective was the bottom line. This led to several predatory actions.

If you want to help people, and do not need to be paid well, this could be a good job for you.

      Pros

To give back to the community by helping students get into the system where they can become better educated and better people. When you get to see students become better people over a period of time, it is very good. You can get bonuses if students stay and more if they graduate. Many students learn to adopt the attitudes and coping skills they need in order to be successful after graduation. The job can be very secure, because with the low pay, you are hard to replace.

      Cons

The hours are about as changeable as it gets outside of a swing shift. The only place where I have ever seen a higher rate of employee departure is when a company closed. The ways the rules are understood changes a lot because the local management changes a lot. High employee turnover means it is hard to make friends and build long term trust. Payroll problems are often only addressed very late after considerable ill will has had time to accumulate. You can miss a lot of weekend and evening activities because of the work hours.

Great advancement opportunities from within but a poor company culture overall.

      Pros

There are opportunities to advance within the company and across departments. The reward of helping students achieve their goals is priceless.

      Cons

Corporate or HQ has no regard for those who are actually doing the work on each campus. The company has no concern for its employees and it shows through the policies and practices. Even as an educational institution, it's still all about the money. Expectations to work extended hours, every weekend and holidays are unreasonable and non-productive.

      Pros

If done correctly, you have the opportunity to truly help students. This was my first job out of college, and it has allowed me to gain experience while working on my MBA.

      Cons

If you are a hard worker, they will bleed you dry. Meaning if you volunteer for one opportunity, you will be volunTOLD for many others. You will work two late nights a week, and at the start of each quarter, plan on working 12 hour days all week. You will work saturdays and holidays as well as be asked to stay later than you original shift. The worst part about ITT is their recruitment style. If numbers were based on how many a rep could GRADUATE vs. how many they could simply get in the door, the learning enviornment would take on a different culture.
