I have been working at ITV as an intern (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lovely offices, Free drinks, Well known

    Cons

    Cliques
    Dishonest managers in particular teams
    Politics

    Advice to Management

Worst experience in working history. Still shocked.
Cliques, politics and extreme bullying. Every incident denied by manager when raised.
Genuinley stating this not to get back at people but to warn that this went on and still does as have many ex colleagues who are friends still there in the same environment.
HR informed a few of us nothing they could do when issues were relayed.
New starters "written off"from day one due to manager power trip issues. Few of us left now.
This was the HR team, therefore didn't instill confidence as no-one to turn to so no choice to resign. Please listen to both sides of story. Try understand what really goes on, people need to be happy at work, most staff are honest take onboard the feedback about your "friends" and stop undermining staff.

    Pros

Exciting place to work, getting to work on flagship shows, surrounded by employees with vast amounts of experience, a great media hub.

    Cons

Lots of shift work, long hours, due to the nature of the industry, it can be highly pressurised, hard to get a work life balance,

I have been working at ITV full-time

    Pros

It's a very friendly place to work, and has flexible working which is great if you have a family. Lots of skilled and dedicated people too.

    Cons

The lifts are slow. Management go out of their way to give people recognition, but it's not always the right people or they miss people.

    Advice to Management

Get better offices, which they are already doing, but don't pack people in so close together which I've seen in some areas.

    Pros

Great people, great technology, great work-life balance, good remuneration.

    Cons

Corporate approach to management sometimes, favouritism

    Advice to Management

Spend the time to review how your employees do instead of relying on global practices that hide away the personal touch.
