I worked at ITW Brands full-time

    Pros

Good training and corporate support. Opportunities to learn about different functional areas. Benefits are typical for a major corporation.

    Cons

I don't have a lot of cons. Sometimes decision making is slow due to corporate requirements. Some favoritism and politics.

    Recommends

    Pros

    Upbeat, professional yet casual, culture
    Entrepreneurial environment
Unique in that it is a world class Fortune 200 corporation with a small business feel at the unit level

    Cons

Unpredictability of Customers and unreasonable demands they place upon business
Concerted move by ITW Corporate to centralize everything, desptie their mantra of being "decentralized", this is causing ridiculous micro-management that is creating increased frustration at all levels

    Advice to Management

E.xtreme fear and sluggishness to move set in with the economic downturn. ITW has become so painfully risk averse and data driven as to symie all progress. ITW also needs to be much more competitive with how they pay top talent. Get out of the way when the economy breaks--there will be a rush for the door if these issues are not addressed.

I worked at ITW Brands full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

health insurance and benifits are good and the company does like to meet with employees to toot there own horn about how much money THEYare making

    Cons

pay is disgustingly low compared to other manufacturing facilities. they do not care a bit about your finacial well being..only theirs

    Advice to Management

try talking to your valued underpaid people who have been there a long time!
